Shards - Max For Live Granular Delay

Shards is my own take on a grain delay, inspired by soundtoys crystallizer.

I wanted to make a grain delay that had an emphasis on small and choppy bits that echo and swirl around the sound that goes through it, so shards aspires to be a grain+reverb+echo space designer.

Some notable features include:

• Custom Grain Shape

• Reverse grains

• Built in Time, Grain Size, and Pitch modulation

• Optional recycling of grains back into itself

• Octaves pitch mode

• Echo processing after Grain chopping

• Echo smearing to reverb

• Multiple echo voices

• Built-in optional ducking of wet to dry signal, to make sure the incoming sound still shines through

Each knob is granted its own parameters shown in the dynamic control bar depicted horizontally in the middle of the device, so controlling this device isn't so overwhelming. This gives access to built in LFO modulations inspired by Live 12's mod mode, so you can still automate knobs by hand while they're modulated by the LFO.
